The Colts missed the playoffs in 2021 and that cost Carson Wentz the job. A week 18 defeat to the Jaguars in an all-or-nothing situation should probably have involved more changes than just the quarterback, but given a proven veteran like Matt Ryan it can be expected to impact the team beyond the boundaries of its location.
While Ryan’s second chance to establish himself is the main reason the Colts are favorites to win the division Jonathan Taylor led the team and the bettors to big wins last season.
It is believed that with a more capable quarterback, the Colts would have beaten the Jaguars by the end of last season and recorded their 10th win.

The game plan
Unlike the Titans, the Colts should be able to score against weaker opponents. Unfortunately they only have two teams on the roster against which they are favored by one or more touchdowns, the Jaguars and the Texans. Like the Titans (see Titans Analysis), Indianapolis has seven games with an expected advantage of less than a basket.
Moreover: The Pittsburgh Steelers name Kenny Pickett starting quarterback
Below is the Colts SWOT analysis.
