Stardfield, the acclaimed open world space from Bethesda and Xbox, will arrive in 2023. The wait around this novelty is stronger than ever, given the importance of the name, which has so many hopes that it can best justify them. Information on Starfield is scarce, but few details have surfaced online.

In fact, on October 8, PCGamesN posted an interview with Nate Purcapil, a former developer at Bethesda Softworks who helped the Starfield team. The reporters asked various questions about the upcoming role-playing game set in space, trying to solve a number of key questions, from the scope of the project and beyond the creation of explorable game worlds.

As we could understand from the very first presentations of the project, Bethesda’s intentions were clear from the beginning: Starfield wants to rethink the concept of the open world, becoming a game that overcomes the physical barriers of the world to reach infinite space. However, to fully understand the extent of the creation of the development team, it took the input of Nate Purcapil, who has worked at the aforementioned company for fourteen years.

According to the developer, the importance of Starfield is such that it requires the creation of the largest Bethesda development team.

Starfield is a very large project and the team is made up of around five hundred people, while Fallout 76 had around two hundred people working on it.

Starfield will be a great project with over a thousand planets to explore. Unfortunately, to this question, the former developer could not give a clear answer, even though he claimed that only part of the whole team was working on the Starfield planets, but the studio came up with some sort of creative solution that made us allowed to create so many planets for Starfield and at the same time save its uniqueness

In general, the developer himself did not go into the details of the game’s design, although his interview is very important in understanding the scope of the Starfield project.
