North Korea launches two SRBMs … Another provocation ahead of the founding day of the Labor Party

North Korea launched two short-range ballistic missiles (SRBMs) on the 9th, a day before the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff announced that it had detected two SRBMs launched into the East Sea from the Muncheon area in Gangwon-do (north of Wonsan) in North Korea at 1:48 and 1:58 on the same day.

The missile’s flight range was about 350 km, the maximum altitude was about 90 km, and the maximum speed was detected as Mach 5 (1.7 km per second). The Joint Chiefs of Staff said: “The detailed specifications have been analyzed in detail by the South Korean and US intelligence agencies.”
