New Indian cardinals are members of the Roman Curia!

Cardinal Philip Neri Antonio Sebastiano do Rosario Ferau, archbishop of the archdiocese of Goa Damau, and Cardinal Anthony Pula, archbishop of the archdiocese of Hyderabad, are Indians who are among the new members of the Roman Curia appointed by Pope Francis.

The Pope has appointed new members, including two Indians, to various sections of the Roman Curia.

The Archbishop of Goa Damau Archdiocese Cardinal Philip Neri Antonio Sebastiano do Rosario Feraune was appointed by Pope Francis as a member of the Congregation for Evangelization.

Cardinal Anthony Pula, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Hyderabad, was appointed by the Pope as a member of the Division for Integral Human Development.

Both were appointed cardinals by Pope Francis on August 27.

The Pope has also appointed new members for the Section for Divine Worship and the Sacraments, the Section for Bishops, the Section for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Communities of Apostolic Life, the Section for the Laity, the Family and Life, the Section for Christian Pastoral Care, the Section for Interreligious Dialogue, the Section for Cultural and Educational Affairs and the Committee for Latin America.

The Pope made these appointments on Friday 7 (07/10/22).
