Blizzard has released a video that reveals a little more of the character’s story
A Blizzard released, during TwitchCon 2022, a The Overwatch 2 animated short focusing on the new character Kiriko. Released this Friday (7), the 9-minute video shows the two sides of the character in more detail: “a beloved daughter and mortal protector”. The high-quality animation has a little bit of everything; fun, action and exciting scenes between mother and daughter.

Kiriko is the first new Overwatch 2 character, available to unlock in the game’s Battle Pass. The ninja has close ties to two of the game’s other heroes, Genji and Hanzo. According to the story, Kiriko’s mother was responsible for training Genji and Hanzo. Therefore, the young woman grew up under the tutelage of her grandmother, and she did strong ties to Kanezaka’s Fox Temple, which he vows to protect in the animated short.
In just 9 minutes, the short manages to tell a beautiful story full of details. THE the animation is of high quality, being a great choice for those who like to follow the story behind the Overwatch universe more. The final scene still has an emotional moment between mother and daughter.

The first week of Overwatch 2 was not a blast for Blizzard, which it had to facing various problems due to errors with starting the game. Additionally, the developer was also subject to harsh criticism afterwards decision that provides for the verification of accounts via SMS.
Therefore, traditional cross-platform benchmarking took some time to appear. Even with the delay, the channel ElAnalistaDeBits has published an analysis of the game performance on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch platforms.
As you can imagine, the Nintendo Switch provided the lowest performance. Occupying 13.10 GB of storage, the game runs at 1600 x 900 pixels in docked mode and 1280 x 720 pixels in handheld mode, in both situations it reaches 30 FPS.
No PlayStation 4, the game requires 23.04 GB of free space and offers Frame rate of 1080p and 60 FPS. There are three modes available on the PlayStation 5: the quality mode which brings 4K at 60 FPS, the balanced mode with 1440p at 60 FPS and the performance mode which runs Overwatch 2 at 1260p at 120 FPS. The game takes up virtually the same space as the PS4 version, with a size of 23.60GB.
For now, there’s no way to tell whether Overwatch 2 will ever be as popular as the original once was. Many gamers are still concerned about the developer’s decision to lock the characters behind the Battle Pass. Even though Blizzard says everyone will have a chance to get the characters for free, there is the possibility that the game will have unbalanced multiplayer in the future.
