Five young men were injured Friday night after the car they were in crashed at Heusdenseweg in Herpt. This happened around half past three.
The driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, according to a 112 correspondent. He hit several trees along the road and a lamppost with his car.

The injured – boys aged 17 and 19 from the municipalities of Heusden and Den Bosch – were all taken to hospital. Due to the gravity of the situation, an air ambulance arrived in Herpt. The trauma doctor supported the ambulance staff in stabilizing the injured.
According to the police, the conditions of the victims are stable.

The 112 correspondent noted that there were many acorns on the road surface. “They may have played a part in the accident.” The police are also investigating and checking whether the young people were wearing seat belts.
