More than 500 volunteers from all over Spain, and in particular from the Trillo region (Guadalajara), will climb this Saturday to the top of Las Tetas de Viana, two twin mountains located in the Alcarria de Guadalajara, to place a gigantic pink bow made with 5,000 square meters of fabric, to reach the Guinness Book of Records as the largest tie in the world “with conscience”.
It is an initiative of the Municipality of Trillo to demonstrate support for research in the fight against breast cancer and to raise awareness on the need to take care of oneself, but also to show the world the Viana Tits, declared a natural monument by the Government. of Castilla-La Mancha, and to spread this region of alcarrña as a beautiful and healthy destination. The initiative was launched by designer Laura Domínguez, together with the mayor of Trillo, Fernando Toquero; Mario Cernuda, deputy mayor, and Mayte Blanco, councilor for social security.
Domínguez chose these two twin mountains for their symbolism, since, as the inspiration for the initiative explains, “the fact of relating some mountains known as the Viana Tits with something that also occurs in the breast of women, has his poetry if a positive reading is made and nature, sport and a healthy life are linked to the treatment against breast cancer ”.
With this initiative in Castilla-La Mancha they will try to overcome a draw in the United Arab Emirates
According to the organizers, the tie must exceed the one made in the United Arab Emirates in November 2021 to fight brain tumors, of 4,895 square meters, but, according to the author of the initiative, that part has already been made with the help of neighbors of other cities in the region have mended and established a rigid logistics of work, joining forces to unite the hundreds of pieces that will make up the final arc.
The event will be attended by the mayor of Trillo, Jorge Peña, together with the doctors and scientific institutions that collaborate, Carmen Heredia, president of AECC, the Spanish Cancer Association of Guadalajara; Dr. María Victoria López, member of the AECC; Dr. Carmen de Juan Sánchez, radiologist, coordinator of the Central Reading Unit for the early diagnosis of breast cancer of the Central Radiodiagnosis Unit of the Community of Madrid; and Dr. Mercedes Herrero, gynecologist, head of the Gine 4 Breast Unit and scientific popularizer of SEDISATO, the Spanish Society for the dissemination and development of health for all.
