Belgian ANWB warns of fuel shortage in France | Machine

More than one in ten petrol stations in France are struggling with fuel shortages due to a strike in TotalEnergies that lasted ten days and caused several refineries to be blocked. The two Esso-ExxonMobil refineries in France are also affected by a strike.

Petrol stations still open in France are very popular with motorists, which means there are often long queues to refuel. Touring therefore advises motorists to provide sufficient fuel in France and to ensure they have refueling options along their route.

“If after all you find that you can’t get to the gas station, stop somewhere safe and don’t empty the tank completely to avoid engine damage. You can then notify a roadside assistance provider, ”according to the Belgian counterpart of the ANWB.
