Original title: Volleyball Women’s World Championships | Serbia’s eight-game winning streak, Turkey lost to the United States

In the second phase of the 2022 Women’s Volleyball World Championship (round of 16), 7 games were played in the 7th. The reigning champion of Serbia defeated Thailand 3-0 and won eight straight victories.

Group F leader Serbia played against Thailand that day. Bussa, Lozo, Boskovic and several other main players have either been retired or gone off the bench, but the team has nevertheless succumbed to their overall strength. They won at 25:23, 25:17 and 25:15, securing first place in the group early, while continuing to hold the unbeaten record in this World Championship. During the eight consecutive victories, the Serbian team lost only 2 games.

The Tokyo Olympic champion of the United States defeated Turkey 3: 1 in four innings of 25:22, 21:25, 25:20 and 25:22. Four people from both teams scored in double figures and the Turks Gunesh and Karakurt scored a record 16 points. The US team and the Turkish team currently have a record of 6 wins and 2 losses, finishing in second and third place respectively in Group F.
