Pedro Neto, Wolverhampton striker, will have to undergo surgery for the ligament injury sustained in the match against West Ham.
Therefore, he will not be able to integrate the Portugal team in the next Qatar World Cup 2022.
The striker injured his ankle in last Saturday’s game at Wolves’ home and had to be replaced by Spaniard Adama Traore.
The club’s medical services reported this Friday that after being seen by a specialist, he is expected to undergo surgery.
This means that unfortunately Neto will not be fit to play with his team in the World Cup.
