Rows of NasDem Cadres resigned after Anies was declared presidential candidate

Niluh Djelantik

One of the cadres who said goodbye was the head of the MSME division of the NasDem party, Nilu Djelantik. The famous designer announced his retirement via Twitter.

Niluh said he was not in line with Anies even though he had no personal problems with the governor of DKI Jakarta.

“Anies Baswedan is in front of us, we have no problems with him personally, because when he was the spokesperson for the presidential candidate, Mr. Jokowi, we welcomed him very well. We believe he has brought a good message to this country, until it is has been appointed minister, whoever we support the choice of Pak Jokowi, “said Niluh, quoted by detikcom, on Tuesday (4/10).

Niluh’s move was followed by former North Sulawesi president NasDem (North Sulawesi) NasDem Traders and MSME Restoration Movement DPW (North Sulawesi) Fredriek ‘Didi Roa’ Lumalente.

Fredriek admitted that he is not compatible with Anies. She had also chatted with Niluh before announcing the decision.

“I was with Niluh in Bali, we talked. I don’t like Anies very much, so I just left. As a picture, I resigned,” said Fredriek, quoted by detikcom, on Thursday (6/10).

NasDem Bali DPW Deputy Head of Executive Relations Anak Agung Ngurah Panji Astika also did the same thing.

Panji admitted it didn’t fit. He felt it was better to leave than to continue to disagree with NasDem’s decision.

Meanwhile, NasDem DPP Party Deputy Secretary General Hermawi Taslim said the party has not lost any frameworks since Anies’ statement.

According to Hermawi, NasDem’s decision to bring Anies actually strengthened the party. He said NasDem cadres rose by about 3,601 after Anies’ statement of the presidential candidate.

“I believe the number of people who become NasDem cadres will continue to grow. As the term or saying dies, one grows by a thousand and one is lost, a thousand is counted,” Hermawi said in a written statement Tuesday.
