When will Jogi Löw return to the sideline? The former international coach has reportedly turned down an offer from VfB Stuttgart.

Stuttgart – After the disappointing EM 2021, Jogi Löw sold his beloved national team manager to Hansi Flick. Since then, the Baden native has taken a break for football. He indicated that he wanted to return to the bench as a coach. only where?

The world champion coach has received offers, as he himself confirmed. For example from Fenerbahce Istanbul. So far, however, it didn’t seem like the right thing to do. Apparently he also played a Bundesliga club with VfB Stuttgart. As the sporty image reports, Löw refused the Swabian offer. The reason: it was not a coaching job, but a consultant activity.

Apparently Jogi Löw turned down VfB Stuttgart’s offer as a consultant

Löw maintains a good relationship with the VfB, although he is not himself Swabian, but from Baden. He previously coached Stuttgart and led them to cup victory in 1997. He previously wore the chest ring himself as a player. Instead of Löw, the VfB eventually signed two former Löw proteges for the advisory post: Sami Khedira and Philipp Lahm. Christian Gentner, historic Stuttgart midfielder, completes the trio.

In the troubled Bundesliga club, this initially led to discussions about the stripping of the powers of sporting director Sven Mislintat, but these were quickly downplayed. The coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, meanwhile, is really fighting for his job. The Swabians are only 16th and have not yet won a Bundesliga match.

Jogi Löw ready: former national team manager “would love to coach a club again”

Jogi Löw’s answer could be different if it really is the job of coaching at VfB: whether it would be in the narrowest circle of candidates if Matarazzo were fired is an open question. Löw would like to “coach a club again”, he said a few months ago. He did not disclose whether he should be abroad or in Germany.

Also at Bayer Leverkusen a not uninteresting seat could soon be free. The Swiss Gerardo Seoane is under fire. No matter where: Most people have yet to get used to a yogi as a club coach. (epp)
