The Munich Oktoberfest is over. The number of crown cases in Bavaria continues to increase, hospitals are filling up. The districts of Upper Bavaria are particularly affected.
Munich – One last toast. On Monday evening (3 October) Wiesn visitors toasted for the last time with their mugs of beer in the festival tents on the Theresienwiese. After 17 days, Oktoberfest in Munich is over again. The celebration also has an impact on the crown numbers in Monaco. The incidence increased by 65 percent in one week, and the state capital is now worth 633.
The incidence of the entire Free State has even increased by 85%. On Friday morning, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported an incidence of 654.8. In the meantime, however, the value has returned to 534.5 (as of Tuesday 4 October).
Corona in Bavaria: Incidence over 500 – one district at the top
Two districts in Upper Bavaria currently lead the RKI’s list of hotspots throughout Germany. The incidences are higher in the regions of Miesbach (830.2) and Fürstenfeldbruck (817.1). But the districts of Starnberg and Ebersberg are also in the top 10, with well over 700 incidences. On Monday (3 October) the Ebersberg value was even higher than 1000. The districts with the highest incidences in Bavaria on Tuesday (4 October):

- Landkreis Ebersberg: 773.4
- Weilheim-Schongau District: 740.6
- Dachau District: 719.2
- City of Passau: 706.3
- Rosenheim District: 788.8
- Munich District: 673.7
With the exception of the city of Passau, all districts are located in Upper Bavaria. Not only has the incidence increased significantly in the past week, but the hospitalization rate in Bavaria has also increased significantly. According to LGL, a 68 percent increase over the previous week. The value is now 1.575. The occupancy of intensive care beds by coronary patients also increased, according to LGL, with an increase of nearly 40% from the previous week.
