KIZ’s work is not well received by Wiesn hosts: Spokesman Peter Inselkammer calls it “cheap sensationalism” according to “Bild”: “Pictures and words don’t match reality. Unfortunately, it’s a trend people use Oktoberfest to get your attention. ” Oktoberfest boss Clemens Baumgärtner (CSU) then invites the rappers: “Stay where you are!”
However, the video shows where YouTube’s video platform draws its limits. Because rappers show explicit sexual content in their videos. Although these are pixelated, the degree of alienation was apparently not enough for the video platform. For example, the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” writes that YouTube blocked the video for violating the guidelines in relation to pornographic content.
Cheeky text from KIZ: “Oktoberfest” is blocked due to video.
The song is now available on YouTube with a still image. The text can still be heard, although it sometimes has defamatory tendencies. After all, it says: “Smooch with Uli Hoeneß, coke with Markus Söder”. It also contains jokes that denigrate homosexuality or minimize rape.
Ironically, this is distorted in such a way that it is clearly meant to denounce such behavior. But the same right should also apply to video: the intention of the rappers to present the complete disinhibition of some of Wiesn’s visitors as a deterrent example is unequivocal. According to YouTube’s guidelines, however, this is probably not allowed, while apparently there are almost no limits to the lyrics.
