Musk offered $ 54.20 per share, Bloomberg News reported.
Immediately following the news, Twitter’s stock was up nearly 13% to $ 47.95 before trading was suspended.
Bloomberg News reported that Musk sent a letter to Twitter with an offer to complete the deal, which has already received support from Twitter shareholders.
“Twitter” has not yet commented on this news.
Musk signed a $ 44 billion deal to buy Twitter in April, but announced in July that he would withdraw from the deal and accused Twitter of making misleading statements about the number of fake accounts on the platform.
“Twitter” lawyers said Musk’s arguments are just an excuse to reject the deal and sued Musk in court in the state of Delaware. The court is expected to begin examining the complaint on October 17.
