Castilla-La Mancha president Emilianon García-Page announced Tuesday that all public hospitals in Castilla-La Mancha will have free television and Wi-Fi, while he anticipated that his government will incorporate the human papillomavirus (HPV ) in children and wants, in the first quarter of 2023, to have on the table “the most negotiated and consensual” that could be the account of the professional career in the health sector.
It was during his speech at the Debate on the State of the Region that is taking place in the Cortes, where the president of the region has assured that his government will propose the law of the guarantees of medical times, a commitment that he had in his investiture program – and that , as he stated, the idea is for the treatment to be done in the first quarter of 2023.
This law aims to establish maximum waiting times in specialist healthcare, as well as to recognize the right of patients and family members to receive financial compensation for travel, maintenance and accommodation expenses generated in application of the law.
Likewise, it announced free television in all public hospitals in Castile-La Mancha for the whole of 2023. “It is a service that people demand a lot from us.” In public hospitals there will also be free Wi-Fi. The start time of the free Wi-Fi will be at the Paraplegic Hospital and the Ciudad Real Hospital, followed by the new Toledo hospital. In the next parliamentary term, free Wi-Fi will be implemented in all health centers, he stressed.
On the other hand, the Castilian-Manchego president highlighted that the regional government will include the meningococcal B vaccine free of charge for all 2-month-old babies, estimating around 15,000 beneficiaries every year. “It’s not on the national vaccination calendar right now,” he recalled.
Likewise, he announced the incorporation of the human papillomavirus vaccine in boys. The proposed measure is to include the vaccination of adolescent boys in the routine HPV vaccination program.
TELECONSULTING WITH PEDIATRICIANS
Among the other measures announced, the president of the region highlighted the implementation of teleconsultation systems with pediatricians. The teleconsultation with paediatrics will begin to be implemented in Valdepeñas (Campo de Montiel) and from there it will be extended to the entire health area.
Also, it reported on the app with + Life on the watch bracelet. A tool that combines health prevention policies: physical activity, nutrition and community. It will be a universal APP for all those who want to download it. Linked to the activity bracelet and mobile agenda, explained García-Page.
A plan to improve the quality of statutory work was another of the measures outlined by the region’s president. Through it, nearly 2,000 positions in the organic workforce will be created that will serve to host the bulk of the COVID. “Compared to the horizon models that Sescam has left at 20,037 seats, we are about to reach more than 38,000 working professionals, almost double that of Cospedal”, he abounded.
Another of the announcements was that Castilla-La Mancha will reach 27 heel tests, the elimination of participation in the payment for people who have prescribed drugs that are not available in our country and which must be purchased abroad and the increase of 10 percent of aid for celiacs.
