Alexander Lukashenko admitted at a military security meeting that Belarus is taking part in the Russian “special military operation” in Ukraine. Speaking of which writes BelTA state agency.
“As for our participation in a special military operation in Ukraine, we are participating there. We do not hide it. But we do not kill anyone. We do not send our military anywhere. We do not violate our obligations,” he said.
According to Lukashenka, participation serves to prevent “the spread of this conflict on the territory of Belarus” and “strike against Belarus under the pretext of a special military operation by Poland, Lithuania and Latvia”.
“As I said, no one will shoot the Russians in the back from the territory of Belarus. Here is our participation,” quotes the agency.
