International Monetary Fund CEO Kristalina Georgieva said on Monday that 48 countries are exposed to the global food crisis, half of which are highly vulnerable, Reuters reported.
Georgieva, who spoke at a conference in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, also said 41 million people in the Arab world are exposed to food insecurity. You also indicated that the IMF will raise the voice of the institution in the fight against restrictions on food trade in order to alleviate the situation.
