MADRID, Oct 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Film Festival kicks off this Monday, October 3, with the aim of reactivating an industry that has experienced a 37% drop at the box office compared to pre-pandemic figures.
Until next Thursday, 6 October, Spanish Cinema Day, tickets can be purchased at a price of 3.5 euros in more than 345 cinemas with a total of 3,030 screens. Spectators must be accredited in advance on the official website ‘www.fiestadelcine.com‘. Those over 60 and under 14 will not need accreditation to participate in the event.
The pre-sale of tickets for the four days is now available exclusively online, both on the cinema sites and on the traditional ticketing sites. On Monday 3 October, the first day of the Film Festival, tickets can also be purchased at the box office and at the kiosks located in the cinemas.
For this edition, the organization of the Film Festival in collaboration with the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences has created the figure of the ambassador of this event, which is the turn of the actor Ernesto Alterio and the actress Toni Acosta.
Another novelty of this new edition of the Film Festival is its participation in the activities to celebrate the Spanish Film Day, which is celebrated on Thursday 6 October. In addition, the Ministry of Culture and Sport has announced the award of the Film and Audiovisual Heritage Award, which will be awarded on 5 October in order to highlight the work of people, institutions and organizations that have developed initiatives and notable heritage recovery, conservation and dissemination projects. This recognition will continue over the next few years.
