The Cubs set the record for most major league wins – and thus the National League – with 116 in 1906, a score that was matched by the Seattle Mariners in 2001 to set the American League record.

The Dodgers crossed the finish line at the first try in the 158th game of the season, taking their record to 110 wins and 48 losses. The Dodgers have won at least 106 games in the 2019, 2021 and 2022 seasons. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season was reduced to 60 games.
The Cincinnati Reds didn’t score 110 wins in 1975, when they took 108 wins, and then the New York Mets threatened the mark, but they could only match the Reds by finishing with the same 108 wins in 1986.
In the American League, the Yankees are the only team to win at least 110 games twice, joining the Mariners and now the Cleveland Guardians.
