Now it is clear: the Burgerei scene bar is closing its branch at the Südbahnhofmarkt in Linz due to a lack of staff.
It has been talked about for a long time. Now it is certain: the scene bar of the Südbahnhofmarkt in Linz is closing its doors. The reason was not entirely clear at first. Now it is clear: there is a shortage of staff.
“Almost a year ago we decided not to continue the branch or franchise system. The reason was simply the constant lack of employees in both operating companies, “says CEO Werner Pawlovsky.
Therefore, the Hagenberg branch (Freistadt district) had to implement two days off and the Linzerie was only open in the evening. “Otherwise we could not continue the business,” says Pawlovsky. However, the leases of Linzerie and Freistadt will also not be extended.
The move to the Südbahnhofmarkt was actually planned when the franchisee retired the following year. However, one employee remained on sick leave for several weeks and two other colleagues suddenly quit their jobs. “This speeded up the process.”
Operators are confident that the Südbahnhofmarkt restaurant will soon have a successor, “but we don’t have one,” says Pawlovsky. The separation is done exclusively by the judge.
