The Ministry of Culture launches the Korean K-CON Festival for the first time in the Kingdom, in the midst of a large audience

Last night the Ministry of Culture launched the Korean K-CON Festival, which is hosted for the first time by the Kingdom and will last two days on Riyadh Boulevard, with the participation of 120 male and female artists representing 14 Korean bands, which has presented various colors of music, fashion and films related to Korea, as well as the accompanying exhibition that took visitors on A Journey to Learn about Korean Culture.

The first day of the festival saw a large audience, who interacted with the performances presented during the concert, enjoying the songs performed by the bands:
”BIG, THE BOYZ, P1Harmony, SECRET NUMBER, PENTAGON, Rain, SUNMI.

Through the “accompanied interactive exhibit”, visitors learned about the nature of Korean life and culture by meeting specialists in various fields of musical and performing arts, as well as their visit to the department of Korean products, fashion, food and cuisine.
In the section dedicated to the “Artists’ Meeting” in the artist room “Mohamed Al-Ali” on the Boulevard, visitors met the band “THE BOYZ”, during which they learned about their latest works and the developments of their next projects, while the artists’ meeting on Saturday will include the teams: “ONEUS, STAYC, NEWJEANS, TO1, PENTAGON”
Interestingly, the Korean K-CON Festival celebrates the 10th anniversary of its founding during its time in the Kingdom, as it was launched in 2012 from Southern California, to later be hosted in 8 global cities representing 4 continents in the past few years and has received extensive audience interaction that has exceeded one million visitors.

The presence of the festival in the Kingdom is part of the agreement signed by the Ministry of Culture with the Korean CG Company to promote international cultural exchange and attract the most important international festivals and forums to the Kingdom, to help support and empower the cultural sector, and enriching it with activities and events of qualitative value.
