The difference between the blue and green candidates is not significant and the competition is fierce; in Yilan County, Kuomintang candidate Lin Zimiao claims 30.47%, leading 20.97% of DPP candidate Jiang Congyuan, People’s Party candidate Chen Wanhui is 4.31%.
In Miaoli County, DPP candidate Xu Dingzhen currently has the highest support with 15.44%, followed by non-party candidate Zhong Dongjin with 15.11% and Kuomintang candidate Xie Fuhong with 7.50% ; in Penghu County, Democratic Progressive Party candidate Chen Guangfu claimed 21.02%, Kuomintang Lai Fengwei 18.15% and non-party candidate Ye Zhulin 17.23%. Competition was fierce and stalled.
