TRIBUNNEWS.COM, WASHINGTON – South Korean tech giant SAMSUNG It is reportedly working on a new facial recognition system that features an under-display camera.

Launched by Aninews, this was revealed after the patent filing document SAMSUNG at the South Korean Intellectual Property Rights Information Service (KIPRIS) in March 2021 published last week.

Essentially, the system will get more images of the user from two angles to build a better 3D model of the face, which is used for security authentication purposes.

Samsung specifically mentions that this facial recognition system will use an under-display camera or an under-display camera (UDC).

The camera position will be placed as far as possible to get a user image from two angles or angles.

One camera will be placed on the bottom of the phone around the fingerprint scanner and the other camera will be placed in the center or top.

The paper also reveals that this technology will measure the size of the user’s pupil.

The idea is that the size of the human pupil can vary depending on the lighting conditions.

This can be used as an additional security measure that can prevent irresponsible parties from deceiving facial authentication.

Although this concept is very interesting, it should be noted that this stage is still a concept. So users have to wait for the presence of this latest facial recognition technology in the future.
