Sotheby’s Dubai returns with a variety of international exhibitions, where those interested in unique collectibles can visit its headquarters in the Dubai International Financial Center, before these pieces continue their journey to New York and Geneva to be auctioned, such as the value of the works on display are estimated at 45 million dollars, and receives its visitors in the period from 26 to 29 September at the Dubai International Financial Center. Next month it organizes its second exhibition, which opens on October 3, and combines rare historical pieces from around the Islamic world with modern and contemporary paintings and sculptures by Middle Eastern artists.
It presents for the first time a work of New York’s major contemporary art auctions, which take place twice a year in May and November, to raise the standards of international art fairs, including an Alighiero Boetti map of the worth over eight million US dollars, the famous faces of Andy Warhol and “Reign of Queens”. And the illustrated collection “Muhammad Ali, 1978” of four editions of boxer Muhammad Ali from the series “The Athletes” and “Advertising”, 1985, a complete set of 10 editions and a selection of Egyptian themed jewelry. The rare jewels of the legendary Italian jeweler Castellani and the iconic designs by Louis Comfort Tiffany for Tiffany & Co in Dubai will be unveiled for the first time before the sale, showing the timeless charm of ancient Egyptian culture.
