On September 26 and 27, the billionaire will answer questions from the network company’s lawyers.
Elon Musk will answer the lawyers’ questions on September 26 and 27 Twitter for his controversial $ 44 billion purchase of the company, according to a court filing. The deposition, which will take place behind closed doors at a law firm in Wilmington, Delaware, can be extended for up to a third day if necessary.
the lawyer of MossAlex Spiro will have to submit his application, according to a separate filing. Spiro may not have much to say in the preliminary interrogation, said Larry Hamermesh, a University of Pennsylvania law professor who specializes in corporate litigation.
“It is very rare that the main contender has to make a statement in these merger and acquisition cases,” Hamermesh said in one. “Legal privilege excludes him from talking about any aspect of the case, so it’s baffling what topics they think they can explore with him.”
Musk has given up on his planned purchase of Twitter earlier this year, claiming the company hadn’t told him about the number of spam and bot accounts among its more than 230 million users. Twitter says the concerns are a pretext to back out of a deal that the richest person in the world has begun to feel remorse by the buyer and filed a lawsuit against him in Delaware Chancery Court.
The judgement it should start on October 17th and last for five days. Dozens of people, banks and companies were sued in the case.
