In two rarities, a coalition led by the far-right Brothers of Italy party has come to power. Georgia Maloney will become the country’s first female Prime Minister. This is the first time that a far-right party has come to power in Italy since World War II. Giorgia is the first female Prime Minister in Italy. The left Democratic Party admitted defeat before the vote count was completed. When the final result arrives today, it is estimated that the Brothers of Italy alliance will win between 227 and 257 seats in the 400 members of parliament. With Georgia coming to power, 15 out of 45 countries in Europe will be led by women. The ruling coalition includes the parties of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, known as the Trump of Italy.
