Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education, met today, via videoconference, the directors of the educational departments; Discuss the final preparations for the new academic year 2022-2023, in light of the ongoing commitment of the ministry to provide a distinct education system; Quality Assurance List.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed the participants, underlining the important role of the directors of the educational directions in the success of the new academic year, with a view to ensuring the integration of all the efforts made by the Ministry; Create an appropriate, good, safe and healthy environment for our students; To achieve a new disciplined and safe school year.
The minister stressed the importance of following the educational process in schools by all members of the system, not with the aim of inspecting and catching errors, but with the aim of guidance and advice.
Dr Reda Hegazy pointed to the need to celebrate and welcome new students at the beginning of the school year and to provide all means that attract the student to school, stressing that returning students to school in the new academic year is a strategic objective because the school has an important social role in the construction of the student’s personality according to the Egyptian vision of 2030.
The minister stressed that 25% of the viewing shares of the educational channel in schools was achieved through “our school (1, 2, 3)” in the educational process, at various levels of education, through (smart board, data show or computer) for more than one semester In the same period for the presentation of the lesson, with the presence of the distinct elements of the teachers in the school accompanied by the students, and the rest of the quorum is intended for the lessons of the subject; discuss the content displayed, which will effectively help provide sufficient time; Engage in activities of all kinds: sports, cultural, artistic, scientific and technological and help discover and cultivate talented people.
The minister instructed the directors of the educational directions to prepare a weekly report on all the activities practiced in the school, with a video of the various student success stories attached.
The Minister stressed to ensure that students receive the textbooks, to download them electronically and to pay tuition fees in 4 installments, taking into account the psychological impact of students, noting that teachers were exempted from 50% of the school fees of their children and the remaining percentage is in installments in 3 installments. .
The Minister also stressed the need to organize periodic meetings between Directorates, Departments and schools with parents, through which to listen to their suggestions, opinions and opinions on the efforts made; To develop the educational system.
The minister also stressed that all necessary measures are taken to achieve health and preventive requirements to preserve the safety of students in schools and to increase interest in the development of students’ personality, while improving attention to behavioral aspects. personal knowledge of them and by encouraging teachers to equip students with critical, innovative and creative thinking skills and create a culture of work In a team spirit, within schools and educational institutions, to ensure the creation of conscious and distinct generations , in step with the needs of the current era, and qualified to face future challenges.
Dr Reda Hegazy also stressed the need to work to create a safe and healthy environment for teachers, preserve their rights and provide an appropriate working environment. It stands out for respect and appreciation, befits their distinguished position and ensures that they carry out their noble message optimally, emphasizing the use of the banner “Rise for the teacher and be revered. The teacher is almost a messenger” in a visible place in all schools, departments and educational directions located at the level of the Republic.
The minister stressed the instillation of the values of citizenship, belonging and loyalty to the homeland, and the need to adhere to the flag salute, and that the first lesson of all phases should relate to national projects, loyalty and belonging and organizing school trips to visit the Egyptian state’s national projects and tourist spots.
As for the school building, the minister stated that all necessary measures have been taken; To keep schools clean inside and outside schools, expand green spaces and prevent the presence of smartphones in classrooms, he also stressed the importance of adhering to the school uniform, without forcing students to buy it in certain places.
Dr Reda Hegazy explained that with regards to General Secondary Certification exams, the President of the Republic agreed that the exam paper should include multiple choice questions (MCQ) and a return to short questions at a non-standard rate. higher than 15% according to the nature of each subject, indicating that 5000 will be trained.
