We now hear from many places that food prices are about to start to rise in earnest. It was said that what we witnessed was just some kind of avant-garde, to test what customers could endure. Furthermore, it was mainly the activity of the retail chains, which took advantage of the situation where there is constant talk of price increases, and price increases.
More and more popular stores
But the food producers themselves have not yet reflected to such an extent the rising costs in the prices of their products. However, their unions and organizations say they will no longer be able to avoid it in the fall. For example, they are milkmen, bakers or fruit and vegetable growers.
For many people, shopping will be a really painful experience, because they already feel that everywhere is very expensive. Especially if you add to this the high energy prices that absolutely everyone has to pay.
However, there are alternatives where you can buy for less. You can choose, for example, different marketplaces where you can often buy goods without intermediaries and cheaper. The so-called “bargain shops” then grow like mushrooms after the rain, that is shops that practically no one was interested in before.
But now the doors don’t break them down. It is a specific type of shop that focuses on selling the cheapest goods possible, especially food. He gets it from warehouses across Europe, where they want to get rid of it. Usually because it needs to be slightly damaged or before the minimum retention period has expired. In these stores, it can sometimes be sold even slightly later. However, the minimum shelf life only means a guarantee that the product will definitely last until this date. But it usually lasts even longer.
Incredible prices
We visited such a shop in Budějovicka in Prague. Right at the door, an enthusiastic customer wanted to share with us how much good she bought here. She carried a whole cart full of groceries with her. “Look at that. I bought all of this for less than a thousand,” she cheerfully points to salami, meat, yogurt, rice, sweets and more.
Some things can be obtained very cheaply in similar shops located throughout the Czech Republic under different names. For example, yogurts here cost around four crowns and we also came across an original 100 gram Lučina, which costs only 3.90 CZK.
These are really prices you won’t find anywhere else. So it is safe to say that you will save a lot at these stores. It’s great that there is such an option for the less mobile.
