TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com- After the government raised the price of fuel oil (BBM) some time ago, a number of residents chose to fill up with petrol at Vivo and Shell instead of Pertamina.
One of them is Fahrudin, who is an online mototaxi.
“Now I prefer to fill up (petrol) in Vivo,” Fahrudin told Kompas.com on Sunday (9/25/2022).
According to Fahrudin, he chose to fill up with petrol at the Vivo petrol station because the queue wasn’t as long as when refueling at Pertamina petrol stations.
Furthermore, as an online mototaxi, the high mobility makes it very dependent on price and fuel economy.

“Now I don’t know why pertalitis has become more expensive. It’s not what it used to be,” he said.
He compared it to refueling at the Vivo gas station.
“Charging on the Vivo is also cheaper now, even if it’s a little expensive,” he said.
Similar to what Fahrudin said, another resident named Iqbal also prefers to fill up with petrol at Shell.
According to Iqbal, refueling Shell with petrol can make his bike more comfortable to ride and cheaper.
“It’s delicious in the oil filled Shell, the bike is lighter, it’s not too expensive,” Iqbal said on Sunday.
Iqbal used to purchase Rp 50,000 worth of gasoline from Shell to be used for business from the Karang Tengah area to Sukasari. Iqbal said the gas was enough for four days.
“If you only use pertalitis 3 days,” he said.
Previously, President Jokowi had announced an increase in the price of pertalite, diesel and pertamax.
The latest prices for subsidized and unsubsidized fuels will take effect Saturday (09/03/2022) at 2.30pm WIB.
The price of pertalite went from IDR 7,650 per liter to IDR 10,000 per liter. Solar subsidies from Rp 5,150 per liter to Rp 6,800 per liter and Pertamax from Rp 12,500 to Rp 14,500 per liter.
The government was forced to raise fuel prices due to the surge in world oil prices and the increased fuel subsidy budget.
“Currently, the government is making decisions in a difficult situation. This is the government’s last option, which is to divert fuel subsidies so that the prices of different types of fuel are adjusted,” the president said. Jokowi at a press conference at the Merdeka Palace, Saturday (9/3/2022).
Meanwhile, current fuel prices at Vivo service stations are Revvo 89 Rp 10,900 per liter, Revvo 92 Rp 15,400 per liter and Revvo 95 Rp 16,100 per liter.
Meanwhile, the fuel prices at Shell are Shell Super RON 92: Rp 15,420-15,750 per liter, Shell V-Power RON 95: Rp 16,130-16,470 per liter, Shell V-Power Diesel CN 51: Rp 18,310 per liter and Shell V-Power Nitro + RON 98: 16.150 IDR per liter.
