A soldier named Sanjeev Singh, originally from Arunachal Pradesh, was arrested by the Punjab police for threatening a girl for filming the bathroom footage. Punjab Police Chief Gaurav Yadav said Sanjeev Singh was arrested on the basis of collected digital and forensic evidence, including the phones of previously arrested. The DGP reported that he was captured from the Sela Pass with the help of the military authorities of Arunachal Pradesh, the police and policemen of Assam. Police reported that the soldier constantly threatened the girl, asking for more footage and videos. Her phone was also sent in for an appraisal.

But the police reported that the arrested student only sent videos of her to her boyfriend.
