TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Prof. dr Samekto Wibowoschool manager of the sector doctor from Gadjah Mada University (UGM) died in an accident at Pulang Sawal Beach, Gunungkidul.
The UGM professor died after being swept away by a large wave on the beach.

“He is a very patient person, continues to be a father figure and encourages young people to move forward. So impressive and we see nothing wrong with him,” said UGM Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med. Ed., Sp.OG (K)., Ph.D., when contacted by Kompas.com, Saturday (9/24/2022).
In his career he developed neuroscience at FKKMK UGM, as well as Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta.
With dr. dr. Ahmad Asmedi, Sp.S (K)., M.Kes, studied Brainstem Acoustic Eruption Potential (PCAB) as a coma identification tool (1994).
“He is my teacher, so he is an elder,” He continued.

Prof. Ova said, Prof. Samekto Wibowo is already retired. However, he still actively teaches at FKKMK UGM.
