On Friday, Buckingham Palace posted a photo of King Charles III with his official red box in which the British monarch receives government documents, after the new king took over his official duties.
The image of the closed red box is closely associated with the British monarchy and era Queen Elizabeth The deceased woman often appears in photos with the box.
The box contains documents from the British government and some Commonwealth countries which are sent to the king by the Office of the Private Secretary.
The photo was taken in the Eighteenth Century Hall at Buckingham Palace last week.
In the background is a portrait of Charles’ deceased parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
Elizabeth, Britain’s longest-lived monarch, died on 8 September at the age of 96.
