Belgium had to win by going to the match with Wales. With three points ahead of Holland in first place, they depended on three points if they wanted to keep their chances of winning.
Before the game, however, star Kevin de Bruyne’s focus was on something completely different. The Belgian got tired of facing the same opponents during the breaks of the national team.
– I think half of my international career has been against Wales. It’s a bit boring. I think I’ve met them twelve times, they are always the same teams, said Kevin de Bruyne.
De Bruyne used frustration to his advantage, wreaking havoc with Wales. The midfielder first gave Belgium the lead with a well-placed long-range shot, before serving Michy Batshuayi, who could easily have doubled the lead.
Kieffer Moore created tension in the match with his reduction, but in the end de Bruyne and Belgium came out victorious.

Mbappé-show
Austria goalkeeper Patrick Pentz was in the impossible corner and for a long time it seemed impossible to outsmart the French stars.
Then Kylian Mbappé appeared. The 22-year-old made a big solo foray, before taking France to the lead.
Ten minutes later, attacking mate Olivier Giroud was superior in the box, doubling the lead with a fine header.
The goal was Giroud’s 49th for France. He is therefore only two goals behind Thierry Henry, who tops the list of the best French scorers of all time.

Denmark lost their hold on first place
There was a long war of positions in the match between Croatia and Denmark, but in the end the redemption score came.
Left-back Borna Sosa gave the home team the lead with an icy finish.
Christian Eriksen equalized with a fine shot from distance, but the joy was short-lived for the Danes. Immediately after the goal, Croatia replaced Lovro Majer and after just one minute on the pitch gave the Croatians the lead.
The result means that Croatia take first place in the group from Denmark.
