Located in one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, the church of Saint-Genest in Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, in Côte-d’Or, is in need of major renovations. This project is running for the battle organized on Thursday 29 September at the Grand Circuit du Patrimoine.

On the occasion of this first edition of Grand Heritage Circuit, organized by Burgundy magazinethe Saint-Genest church in Flavigny-sur-Ozerain is one of the dozen monuments and heritage sites seeking funding.

These restoration projects will be the subject of a battle on Thursday 29 September at 11:00 and 15:00 in the salons of the Dijon-Prenois circuit.
At the end of this battle, a minimum budget of 2000 euros will be divided between the three best projects.
The public will play an important role in this operation because the 5 euro ticket office is fully integrated into this donation.

Flavigny-sur-Ozerain, its anise, its indefinable medieval charm that places it among the most beautiful villages in France. And then its church of Saint-Genest, symbol of a flourishing parish history.

The building was built in the 13th century, enlarged and embellished in the 15th and 16th centuries.
Listed as a Historic Monument since 1840, it houses exceptional artistic collections including around a hundred sculptures and reliquaries, paintings and murals of great value.

But Saint-Genest requires several successive stages of work, ranging from the consolidation of the bell tower to the restoration of the murals and the creation of a museum of the Treasury. All these tranches represent a total amount of € 1.5 million.
Amount of work: 454.931 euros. Current collection objective: 75,000 euros.

The Grand Circuit du Patrimoine takes place in the salons of the Dijon-Prenois circuit, on 28 and 29 September.

A single fee of 5 euros it will allow you to treat yourself to 100% Côte-d’Or products and support an endangered heritage.
