This happens with the sea of flowers after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral

Since the death of Queen Elizabeth II was announced and until her funeral, tens of thousands of people have laid flowers at Windsor Castle.

The sea of flowers in London has just gotten bigger and bigger and symbolizes a tribute and respect for the queen.

Now that everyday life is about to return, the flowers need to be moved.

All flowers will therefore be collected on Wednesday evening, but they should not be thrown away.

According to BBC the flowers will be taken to a composting plant and then used as fertilizer in the various royal parks.

The flowers outside Green Park, Hyde Park and central London will be able to rest for a while longer. They are only picked up about a week after the funeral.

Janet Davies, owner of a flower shop in Windsor, tells the BBC that she didn’t just make bouquets for the British.

People from Australia and America also contacted her to order a floral tribute to Queen Elizabeth.

In previous years, Davies has also had flower assignments for the queen herself.

All cards that are with flowers must be taken care of.
