Furthermore, MVA-BN was chosen because it can be sold immunocompromised (people with weak immunity), pregnant women and children. Even so, Dr. Hanny pointed out that this vaccine does not cure 100%, but it minimizes complications in monkeypox patients.
“Vaccination does not eliminate 100% of the virus, but it can reduce complications such as central nervous system disorders or nerve infections,” he explained.
So who is eligible for the vaccine?
At least vaccinate monkeypox in three priority groups. First, health professionals who conduct direct examinations.
Secondly, people who are in contact with the sick. They must be vaccinated so that the symptoms are not too severe.
Third, they are people at risk of having multiple partners or multipartners and homosexual groups. “Because of all the people affected by monkeypox, 90% of them are LGBT people. So they are at risk and deserve to be vaccinated, “she said.
