New York, September 21 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al Alimi, President of the Presidential Leadership Council of the sister Republic of Yemen.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, joint cooperation paths between the two brother countries were discussed, as well as some regional and international issues of common interest.
During the meeting, His Highness affirmed the UAE’s support for the Presidential Command Council and its sincere national efforts to achieve security and stability in all Yemeni territories and to fulfill the aspirations of the Yemeni fraternal people for development, progress and prosperity.
His Highness referred to the well-established historical and fraternal relations between the UAE and the Fraternal Republic of Yemen, underlining the UAE’s firm commitment to supporting the fraternal Yemeni people at various levels.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi commended the UAE’s continued support for the Yemeni people, underlining the strong historical and fraternal relations that unite the two brother countries.
The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation.
