On the occasion of this first edition of Grand Heritage Circuit, organized by Burgundy magazineVal-Suzon Forges are part of a dozen monuments and heritage sites seeking funding that will present their design during a battle on Thursday 29 September at 11am and 3pm.

Northwest of Dijon, the town of Val-Suzon experienced its industrial heyday in the 19th century. Its forges (actually a blast furnace) testify to this.
The structure of the building is badly degraded, in particular the roof that collapsed in 1983.

In connection with the Municipality (owner of the property since 2005), a relief association for many years it has been carrying out important summer projects.
Part of the facades was thus dismantled and then reassembled, but much remains to be done: masonry, stone cutting, reconstruction of a frame and, finally, assembly of a headdress worthy of the name.

House of the environment and energies, reconstruction of a workshop forge, conference rooms dedicated to the performing arts: there is no shortage of projects to rehabilitate this workers’ heritage.

Amount of work: € 366,680. Current collection target: 100,000 euros.

The Grand Circuit du Patrimoine takes place in the salons of the Dijon-Prenois circuit, on 28 and 29 September.

A single fee of 5 euros it will allow you to treat yourself to 100% Côte-d’Or products and support an endangered heritage.
