The House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia has received a letter of request for the examination of candidates for naturalization Indonesian national, Shayne Pattynama, by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
This was announced by the vice president of the Indonesian House of Representatives Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus during the DPR-RI plenary meeting, Tuesday (20/9). Lodewijk as leader of the meeting said his party had received a letter from Jokowi.
“We must inform you that the leadership of the DPR has received 10 letters from the President [Jokowi]. Fourth letter R36 of 25 August 2022 concerning the request for examination of the granting of Indonesian citizenship in the name of Shayne’s brother Elian Jay Pattynama, “Lodewijk said.

Lodewijk’s statement hinted that Shayne Pattynama’s naturalization process would be considered by Commission III and Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh did this internship some time ago.
On the same agenda, the DPR also officially approved the naturalization request of Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh.
“In accordance with the discussions between Commission III and Commission X, they have decided to approve the consideration of Indonesian citizenship in Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh,” Lodewijk said, beating on the hammer of the trial.
Lodewijk said Jordi Amat and Sandy Walsh’s naturalization process could proceed to the next stage. In this case, Jordi and Sandy have to wait for the presidential decree before taking the oath of Indonesian citizens in the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
“Furthermore, the approval will be followed up with the applicable mechanism,” Lodewijk said.
Shayne Pattynama, Sandy Walsh and Jordi Amat are the three candidates for the naturalization of the Indonesian national team recommended by coach Shin Tae Yong. The three players should be able to strengthen Garuda’s side in the 2022 AFF Cup.
