The ABC battery itself is manufactured by PT EVERBRIGHT and PT INTERNATIONAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRY or commonly known as PT INTERCALLIN. Both companies are still included in the ABC Holding group. ABC battery factories are located in 3 cities, namely Medan, Jakarta and Surabaya.
PT EVERBRIGHT was founded in 1959 in Medan by Chandra Djojonegoro and Chu Sok Sam. The company is committed to producing the best quality dry cells in Indonesia and as one of the largest distribution companies in Sumatra.

The factory itself is located on an area of five hectares in Medan, North Sumatra. The plant is also equipped with the latest technological machinery and state-of-the-art laboratories to produce quality products.
PT INTERCALLIN itself was only opened in Jakarta in 1968. Currently, in addition to serving domestic consumers, PT INTERCALLIN also serves foreign consumers.
Since 1996, PT International Chemical Industry has started manufacturing AA / LR6 size alkaline batteries and initially produced AAA / LR03 size alkaline batteries in 2000. PT INTERCALLIN produces various variants of zinc-carbon batteries in sizes D, C, AA and AAA with different grades: Super Power, New Special, Standard and Economy.
The growing demand for ABC batteries in domestic and overseas markets is a challenge for PT. INTERCALLINA. Therefore, PT. Hari Terang Industry in Surabaya in 1982. Surabaya was chosen to improve distribution services to meet market demand, particularly in East Java and Eastern Indonesia.
In 2009, PT Hari Terang Industri changed its name to PT. International Chemical Industry Plant 2 Surabaya. Currently, PT. International Chemical Industry Plant 2 produces D and AA size zinc-carbon batteries in 2 grades: Standard and Economy.

According to Forbes records, Husain Djojonegoro and his family are among the 50 richest people in Indonesia with a total wealth of US $ 1.25 billion or around 18.1 trillion rupees (exchange rate of 14,500 rupees) .
