A small plane crash in a wooded area in Marion County, Central Florida (United States), resulted in two deaths. This according to what was reported by the authorities this Sunday.
Marion’s sheriff’s office reported the incident on Sunday and specified that the victims were the two occupants of the plane. However, they did not offer the identities of the fatal victims.
He pointed out that his officers and Marion County Fire Rescue personnel went to the crash site. That occurred Saturday night between the cities of Citra and Orange Springs.
According to the police office it was a small private plane.
He explained that due to the remote location of the plane crash site in Florida, a county special office responded to help investigators access the site.
According to the sheriff’s office, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified of the incident and should also respond to investigate the incident.
