And yes, the rule still enshrined in the constitution that you must not keep a patient more than 30 minutes away from your emergency room is no longer respected at night and for 4 hours during the day from June 2021. This is unacceptable! 40 beds closed during the summer in Bagnères, unacceptable! Difficulty getting an ambulance on weekends at night to be taken to Tarbes, unacceptable! In fact, it is not always possible to have a fire brigade ambulance on weekends and the SMUR are the paramedics of Tarbes who come for the first guided visits by telephone by a 15-year-old doctor.
Following the organization set up by the new Minister of Health and the increase in calls to 15, doctors are under stress to respond to patients and have created real discomfort.
The resignation begins there too, unacceptable!
Young nurses who are assigned to services at the end of school do not benefit from any support, are considered operational and must manage themselves as best they can. Disgusted a significant number return their blouses and resign, unacceptable! If in the past 3 nurses for 90 patients was the quota, today very often 1 nurse for 90 becomes the norm. Unacceptable! At MGEN, there is only one night nursing assistant for 60 patients. Unacceptable!
