PSV announced it last Friday he immediately separated from John de Jong. The supervisory board, headed by President Robert van der Wallen, no longer trusted the technical director, so De Jong decided to draw his conclusions and step down.

De Jong had extended his contract with PSV in May of last year until the summer of 2024. “This is strange,” says Rafael van der Vaart in Football Studio. “Why? I thought something had happened internally.”

Van Nistelrooij: ‘Difficult to understand’
PSV coach Ruud van Nistelrooij showed his dissatisfaction with De Jong’s departure on Sunday. “Work together in preparation,” said Van Nistelrooij. “Three months later, the confidence has completely vanished.
