After leading the company for three years, Alejandro Reynal resigned this week as president and CEO of Apple Leisure Group (ALG), announcing that September 30 will be his last day of work at the company.
“I am immensely proud of what we have built with the ALG leadership team and our colleagues around the world. We’ve come through the toughest time in our industry and come out stronger than ever, “said Reynal.
He was grateful for the way ALG was welcomed into the Hyatt family which acquired the group in November 2021.
“I am impressed with the way our team has seized the opportunities offered by the next chapter. I strongly believe in the power of this combination and am very confident in a bright future for ALG and Hyatt, “she said.
For his part, Mark Hoplamazian, President and CEO of Hyatt, expressed gratitude and respect for Reynal’s leadership during the acquisition and the first year of ALG as part of Hyatt.
“With experience and passion, Alejandro brought the ALG team to a strong position and ensured that the ALG business became a thriving part of Hyatt. We learned a lot from each other and I personally thank Alejandro for his collaboration and friendship, which will last. Moving forward, I look forward to collaborating even more closely with every member of ALG’s Executive Committee as we continue our growth journey together, ”said Mark Hoplamazian, President and CEO of Hyatt.
Hoplamazian will take over the leadership of Apple Leisure Group starting October 1, 2022, and to support him, Ray Snisky, President of ALG Vacations Group, will take on additional responsibilities related to corporate coordination and other operational matters starting October 1, 2022.
