Sony confirms: PSVR games not playable on PSVR2 – Gaming – News

I once accidentally bought the PSVR (walked into an intertoys for cheap boxed games, took home the starter set for 249 euros) just hoping to be able to play WipEout in VR someday. Six months later it happened. Phenomenal, perfect for VR and perfectly adapted to the resolution of the glasses. I can also play WipEout Omega on my PS5 on a large 4K screen, or on my PS4 with a Full HD projector over 2.5 meters diagonal, but it all vanishes after playing in VR.

Of course it has to be your game. It has been my favorite series on PS1 since 2097, and then suddenly via a free update just … perfect. Better than hoped, it doesn’t happen often.

So yes, I hope again now. As soon as WipEout is announced for PSVR 2, I will receive the set immediately.

Other than WipEout I’ve only played cockpit games, quite logical with VR, luckily I’ve never suffered from motion sickness. DriveClub with the wheel was fun, especially in open cars, and with a simple Hotas 4 I really enjoyed StarWars Squadrons and especially the 3 VR missions of Ace Combat. I still regularly board the fighter jet, alone in the air for fifteen minutes of arcade aerial combat in VR. Stay fun.

So WipEout please and a full Ace Combat game with Hotas support. I don’t care how much it will cost.
