Nicks entered the Guinness Book of Records for the fastest motorized shed and the fastest construction wheel in the world. It is now fighting for another world first: building the longest electric scooter for the disabled. After all, he has already completed it and is now waiting for the record to be recognized.
–
According to the AP agency, however, this should be a formality, as the longest disabled scooter to date, built in 2019, was only 3.15 meters long. The Nicks boast is more than twice as long and measures exactly 6.7 meters.
–
“If you want to break a record, you have to completely crush the previous one. So I built a scooter for as long as possible”, laughs the Englishman, who is involved in designing and building in his working life.
–
In order for the car to be recognized by representatives of the Guinness Book of Records, it must meet certain criteria. For example, it must not have wheels in the middle and must travel at least 100 meters. Nicks is expected to officially unveil the scooter later this month at the Straightliners automotive records event.

It took him three days to build
Nicks revealed that it only took three days to build the car and that he spent a total of £ 180 (over four thousand crowns) to complete the project.
–
And how did he come up with the idea? He was repairing a normal disabled scooter for a client, so he thought he’d see what world records there were in this area. “I found that the longest was about three meters, so I thought I’d beat it,” confided the Brit.

“With what I do, I want to inspire people to do fun things. We should always have fun and be a little crazy, “she concludes.
