The long-awaited Xiaomi phone with 200MP camera is coming very soon. The device has some similarities to the Redmi K50 Ultra but has a different main camera. It will be the second smartphone equipped with the 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor. The device will reach global markets, unlike the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, with the title of Xiaomi 12T Pro. Of course, it will come with the vanilla model: Xiaomi 12T. These two devices contain specifications and pricing information to open today.
Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro specifications
According to the new leak, both versions of Xiaomi 12T will be equipped with 6.67-inch AMOLED screens. This is the standard for Xiaomi smartphones nowadays. They will have 2,712 x 1,220, which Xiaomi classifies as a resolution of 1.5K, between FHD + and QHD +. Additionally, both devices will have a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5. The similarities won’t end there, as both devices have the same 5000mAh battery. Likewise, they also enjoy the same 120W fast charging. These specs are similar to my Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. However, recent reports indicate that newer models will receive plastic frames to reduce costs.
The differences between the two smartphones lie in the camera and performance. Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with a 200MP camera. The snapper gets a bright f / 1.69 aperture with OIS. It is much brighter than Motorola’s f / 1.9 aperture camera. Under the hood, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will contain a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with up to 12GB of LPDRR5 RAM and 256GB of storage. The flannel has a 108MP camera without OIS. For the two phones, we have the same set of assisted shooters: an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 20MP selfie camera.
The Xiaomi 12T will get its power from the Dimensity 8100 Ultra variant. Unfortunately, it’s unclear what makes Ultra different from vanilla. Perhaps, some changes in the software part, just like OnePlus did with the 8100 MAX. Either way, the phone has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
Losses on prices
According to rumors, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will cost around 850 euros in Europe, or 50 euros less than the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The Xiaomi 12T will instead come at a price of 650 euros. Interestingly, the Xiaomi 12T Pro also costs less than the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra. Hence, the war between the two current phones with a 200-megapixel camera will intensify next week.
another thing?
According to reports, Xiaomi could also take the opportunity to unveil the new Redmi Tablet. However, digest it with a pinch or two of salt. MIUI 14 may not appear at this event, as its arrival in the Xiaomi 13 series is likely to be revealed.
