NEW YORK – NYPD are looking for a trio who beat up a couple in a Manhattan Popeye last weekend, punching and kicking them at the fast-food restaurant after arguing for no reason, authorities say.
The victims, a 28-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man, were at the fast food restaurant on Avenida de las Américas around 3:45 am on Saturday when three strangers, two women and a man, got into a fight, the NYPD says.
It wasn’t clear what they were discussing, but police say it was not provoked and it quickly escalated.
The trio pounced on the couple, dragged them to the ground, punched them in the restaurant and then ran away.
Victims suffered cuts to their faces, ears and knees, but refused medical treatment on the spot.
