Lukashenko makes fun of European energy concerns

Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko mocked Europe’s concerns about the energy crisis while chopping wood.

“We will not allow Europe to freeze to death,” said Lukashenko in the video, broadcast on state television Wednesday.

“We will help our brothers,” adds Lukashenko. “Maybe one day they will help us too.”

“Europeans cannot be demanding right now. Spruce or birch – the important thing is that they are warm, “says Lukashenko, standing in front of a large pile of wood with an ax.

Lukashenko, who has been sanctioned by the West for repressing the opposition, is an ally of the Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.

Belarus is financially and politically highly dependent on Russia. In February, Russia launched the military operation in Ukraine from several directions, including Belarusian territory.
